Meet Sadie —

Hi, I’m Sadie, founder of Umé Acupuncture, an independent holistic fertility and women’s health clinic based in Worthing, West Sussex. I’m passionate about looking after women through the various stages of reproductive health. My commitment, and 100% focus to this area of health, allows me to offer you a more bespoke service.

For me, acupuncture is a 2-way process – when we work together it is much more than needles and Qi. It’s about elevating your body awareness; sharing information, finding health strategies that fit around your life and providing a place to talk and be listened to.

My Mission

It’s my mission to help as many people as possible achieve excellent health and optimise their fertility. With a long-term deep fascination in fertility, I’m passionate about filling the gap in fertility and women’s health care. My ultimate goal is to pass my knowledge and support onto you, potentially saving you from a long and stressful fertility journey!

What I do: Fertility and Women’s Health

What happens in the treatment room is just a part of what I do. By offering women and their partners practical tools and suggestions, I can empower, teach and guide you to a better understanding of your fertility health and wellbeing. So many people who come to see me have learnt conflicting information, had poor previous care or felt unsupported. I’ve helped many people overcome these issues and towards their goal of parenthood. This success enables me to continue my business of providing the highest quality care I can.

My Background

I hold a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Acupuncture and Five Element Acupuncture, I have also completed post grad studies in fertility and women’s health, including an Advanced Fertility Diploma. I continue to extend my expertise every day, learning with leading consultants and teachers.

I have worked in women’s health since 2005, as a qualified fertility reflexologist, pregnancy massage therapist and then as a degree-qualified acupuncturist. Having undertaken fertility research during my BSc, I became interested in the importance of pre-conceptual care for the outcome of fertility treatment and the effectiveness of acupuncture in this area. Since then, I have undertaken advanced further studies in treating women’s reproductive health; gynaecology, fertility and pregnancy.
